Michael M. Kaplan, Esq. is the founding attorney of the Law Offices of Michael M. Kaplan, based in Milford, Massachusetts. With over three decades of legal experience, Attorney Kaplan has built a distinguished pracitce focused on personal injury claims, advocating for individuals who have suffered harm due to the negligence or misconduct of others. His areas of expertise include auto, motorcycle, and truck accidents, workers' compensation, slip and fall injuries, medical malpractice, assault, molestation, and child abuse cases. A tireless advocate for the injured and abused, Attorney Kaplan is deeply committed to achieving justice for his clients. His legal approach is marked by compassion, diligence, and a willingness to go above and beyond in pursuit of the best possible outcomes. His dedication and results-driven strategies have earned him recognition and respect throughout the legal community.
Attorney Kaplan earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1986, followed by his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1989. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Throughout his career, Attorney Kaplan has actively contributed to both the legal and broader civic communities. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He is also actively involved in numerous community-focused organizations, including New Hope, Inc., an anti-domestic violence organization, and the Uxbridge Lions Club, where he is a founding member.
Attorney Kaplan serves as coordinator of the Milford District Court Lawyer of the Day Program and holds leadership roles as chairman of the board of the Salvation Army and the Milford Area Humanitarian Coalition's Food Program. His past leadership includes terms as president of both the Milford Rotary Club and the Milford Area Bar Association. Known for his unwavering dedication and integrity, Attorney Kaplan has earned the admiration of clients and peers alike. Outside of the courtroom, he enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, listening to music, and engaging in sports.

Garrett Kaplan helps oversee the daily operations and marketing strategy for the Law Offices of Michael M. Kaplan. A graduate of LMU Duncan School of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee, Garrett brings both legal training and hands-on management experience to the firm. With two years of experience in the legal field, he is committed to supporting the firm's mission of providing clear, client-centered service.
Garrett is an Eagle Scout and an active member of the Lions Club, reflecting his lifelong dedication to leadership and community service. His professional approach centers on clarity and dedication, ensuring clients receive the respect, organization, and responsiveness they deserve.
Outside of the office, Garrett enjoys riding motorcycles, driving classic cars, traveling, exploring new restaurants as a self-described foodie, and spending time with family and friends.
Rayna Brigham-Hallissey
Certified Paralegal
Rayna Brigham received her B.A. from the University of Rhode Island in 2007 and her Paralegal Certificate in 2015 from Roger Williams University, a rigorous two-year certificate program which boasts the only program approved by the American Bar Association in the state of R.I.
Her fascination with several areas of law motivated her to explore numerous opportunities, resulting in a decade of paralegal experience ranging from personal injury, workers compensation, housing, § 341 bankruptcy, receivership, creditor’s rights, finance, commercial real estate, business law, corporate formation, brand marketing, intellectual property and family law. She has worked in personal injury insurance defense for a renowned Providence attorney practicing in R.I. and M.A.; as sole Paralegal and Office Manager to a highly regarded Trustee of the R.I. Bankruptcy Court, as an in-house Paralegal at the corporate headquarters for a major toy manufacturer and as in-house corporate paralegal for her family’s 9 hole country club. She has experience drafting and filing civil motions in both State and Federal courts in R.I. and M.A. and is passionate about legal issues and advocating for clients.
Since 2024, she has provided paralegal and managerial support as head Paralegal and Office Manager to attorney Michael M. Kaplan with Civil Actions in the jurisdiction of Massachusetts ranging from Small Claims Court, District Court, Probate and Family Court, Land Court, Superior Court and Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Her passion for the law combined with her vast experience, attention to detail, command of the English language and compassion for each client’s unique situation ensures that every case receives quality Paralegal support.
Outside of work, Rayna has many hobbies and enjoys playing golf, traveling with her husband, reading, writing poetry and children’s stories, shopping, cooking, sewing and embroidery.
Hisen A. Teker

Originally from Turkey, I’m trilingual speaking – English, Turkish, and Arabic.
Hisen A. Teker is a Paralegal at the Law Office of Michael Kaplan, where he provides vital support to attorneys and clients across a wide range of legal matters. He assists with drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing case files, and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met with precision. Known for his attention to detail and strong organizational skills, Hisen helps streamline office operations and contributes to efficient, client-focused outcomes.
Prior to his current role, Hisen gained diverse experience in personal injury, family law, contract law, and civil practice, building strengths in client communication, negotiation support, and file management. He also brings a background in customer service, sales, and business ownership, which enhances his ability to connect with clients and balance complex responsibilities.

Hisen earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and holds an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies as well as a double major in Liberal Arts from Middlesex Community College. His academic and professional background together support his client-centered and detail-oriented approach to the law. He is currently preparing for the LSAT with the goal of attending law school and advancing his career as an attorney.
Outside of work, Hisen enjoys playing guitar, reading, playing soccer, spending time with friends, and dedicating time to his café, which keeps him balanced, creative, and connected to his community.
